2 years of MBA classes, tests, and projects are over for this guy. You think he is pretty happy?! Now onto 5 weeks of freedom before work starts. We are making a list of things we want to do to take advantage of this "vacation." We figured John will most likely never have this much time off again. Will post the list soon!

six
Between wanting to eat the bunny and grab that piece of paper we had a hard time getting a picture this month.
Here are her stats right now:
-Down to 4 bottles a day (about 6-7 oz. each)
-Started eating solids
-Learning to sip water from our sippy cup
-Starting to introduce some formula
-Dare I even say we like to nap now? It's true though! We have been napping morning and afternoon. Sometimes I do not even know what to do with myself it makes the days so heavenly.
-Will have to post weight and height later yet as we do not go for our 6 month dr. appt until next week.
Likes:
-to roll over and sleep on her tummy
-chew on her toes (seriously!)
-the passie...no more fingers or thumb for now
-being outside
-squash
-going out to eat with us (loves to watch all the action at a restaurant)
At the grocery store today, I got C a pink and purple balloon. Just staring at the balloons flowing back and forth was entertainment all afternoon. I will spare you and wait until maybe her first birthday to get sappy and emotional about how big she is getting and how fast the time is passing by, but it really is! For whatever reason, six months did seem like a bigger milestone. We had a little family dinner date to our favorite mexican place to celebrate tonight. Really, just a fun excuse to go out and do something different on a Monday night and fun it was!
Happy six months baby girl!

Happy Birthday
Happy 1st birthday to my blog! I started this blog and made my first post exactly a year ago. It has been a crazy fast year and the time only seems to go by faster. I had no idea what I would do with this blog but I have really enjoyed it. It is good for me to put down my thoughts sometimes and a great way to capture our memories as a family. I have already enjoyed looking back at some old posts and honestly had to go back to some old posts to remember when things happened. And most of all, I love reading others' blogs. I never thought I would say I learn things from blogs, but I do! I am not a huge technology person but I do love the blog world. So, hopefully we will keep the blogging up in year 2 as well!

Refreshed
Sunday I had the opportunity to be here with my mom
and watch this winning moment. I love me some Phil!
and watch this winning moment. I love me some Phil!
I was also able to go Thursday with some good friends. With school about to end for John and lots of tests and projects approaching he was not able to go this year. He sweetly let me take the tickets and stayed home to work and keep Caroline. I am so grateful for this little time away. It was good to be totally without Caroline. You cannot even take a cell phone in the tournament and I was gone over 12 hours both days. Obviously, I love her to pieces but I am a firm believer that sometimes every mom (and dad) need their time away. Babies require so much that it is easy to become completely engulfed in baby world. I have for sure been guilty of this already. It was great to be completely away and feel like all my attention and focus could be catching up with mom, friends, relaxing, and watching good golf. Whether it is a whole day, a few hours, or overnight these times are good for my spirit. I feel refreshed. These times make me a better mom for Caroline. And I was thrilled to wake her up Monday morning and be back with her again.

Happy Easter!
But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen as he said. Come see the place where he lay." -Matthew 28:5
We had a wonderful day celebrating Easter. We stayed in Atlanta and spent the morning at our church and the afternoon with John's family.
The Easter bunny didn't fully come this year....just an easter basket. Those eggs are empty and the bunny was a gift when C was born. I had to make the basket look good though, right? We are starting small. Regardless, Caroline is happy!
