Watercolor

We spent last week at the beach for the 5th annual Watercolor trip.  This trip gets better and better every year.  This year our group rented 3 houses with a total of 30 adults and 9 kids (all under age 4)!    Needless, to say it was a blast and the weather couldn't have been better.  This trip is always refreshing and relaxing to be in community with so many other wonderful friends.

I left my good camera at home by accident, but I did take a few pics (and snagged some from others) to document the week.

Meredith and Thatcher

John, Caroline, Caleb and Lila

This little girl became a fish this week thanks to these floaties.  We didn't do swim lessons this summer, but these floaties were perfect to help Caroline lift her head out of the water and "swim" on her own.  She loved it!

McK, Micah and Matt playing for everyone in the morning

Low Country Boil

Lila and Caroline were not fans of the beach/sand, but we managed to get a few smiles.

Bikes rides were a hit everyday

Yep, she wore her beads to the beach one day.

First time to have an ice cream sandwich.  Success!

Enjoying Summer Part 2

Some of our other favorites from the summer...

water and sand table + the hose

Caroline's first Braves game

face painting (or stars on your hand) + cotton candy were a huge hit during the game

Another game with friends
Friends spending the night

Boat rides at the lake
This might be one of my favorite pictures ever! It's just so sweet of H and C to me.

We put the flag up this weekend...never too early, right?
Less than 2 weeks away!

many trips to the pool

 visiting friends

 popsicles

girl time

Being silly and putting on daddy's running socks

old friends in town

snuggle time

A few more pics to come.

Reunion

Fairhope, AL

with my favorite Auburn girls.
All 13 of us together for the first time in a year and a half. Between us we live in 10 different cities.
So much has happened since the last reunion : 2 weddings, 1 pharmacy graduate, 1 newly engaged, 2 babies on the way, 5 moved to new cities (one being Hong Kong!), several new jobs , 1 recent master's grad, 1 on her way to PT school, and 2 new boyfriends.
We could not be more different, yet very similar in many ways too.

Most of our time was spent talking and eating on this dock...

Or doing the same on this back porch.

It is an honor and blessing to have so many wonderful women in my life.

Last week

Lots has happened around here lately...

My brother Matt and his girlfriend, Natalie, got engaged in Italy. We love Natalie and couldn't be more thrilled for her to join our family!
My niece, Gracie, came home from the hospital!
On Friday, we celebrated the marriage of our two friends, Laura and Douglas. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures at their wedding.

Friday was also my wonderful mama's birthday.
We celebrated my man all weekend for being a wonderful dad and turning 31 on Sunday!
And John's longtime friend, Seth, got engaged Sunday morning.
We are thrilled for Seth and Ashley!

The Beach

Here is a recap of our time at the beach. I am still wishing we were there right now!

Sometimes we wore a bathing suit...
and sometimes we did not.
Loved jumping in the pool to Daddy (and only Daddy)
Bingo and dancing...one of my favorite nights!
C loves her Papa
and her mommy too!
Another favorite is always the bagpiper
Up very late and being very silly
More swimming
Standard family pics

As I am going through these pictures, I am realizing I didn't really take any of our time on the beach. Ha! Oh well, next time!
